Students entering Transylvania County Schools for the first time need to go to the school the student will attend and complete a student registration form. 

Kindergarten registration begins in the spring prior to the child's beginning kindergarten.  Students must be 5 years old by August 31st of the kindergarten year.  Parents must provide a copy (preferably a certified copy) of the child's birth certificate, an immunization record, and a health form verifying a medical exam within the twelve months prior to school entry.

Students transferring to a Transylvania County school should provide the school a copy (preferably a certified copy) of their birth certificate, a copy of their immunization record, and the name and address of their previous school.  The Transylvania County school will request a student's records from his previous school.
