Chapter president Lauren DuBreuil said the NAHS pledge and charge, and vice president Rachel Byrd spoke about the elements of art. Secretary Delaney Holland recited a poem based on the primary colors, and Hazel Freeman lit candles representing the 3 primary colors. Andy Dial cut flowers to be pinned onto new members, and Orin Armstrong pinned flowers onto inductees.
The standards to join NAHS include a 3.25 unweighted GPA, a “B” average in art classes, perform at least 12-20 hours of art related community service (depends on whether candidates are currently enrolled in art class), and senior members are charged to leave a legacy art piece at Brevard High School.
