Ms. Paula Fisher

Welcome to Davidson River School's Community Short Term Options Program (C-STOP) website.  C-STOP is a program designed to provide parents, teachers, administrators, and the Superintendent an alternative option to the traditional short-term suspension policy for middle and high school students in Transylvania County. Students have the opportunity to complete all coursework from their home school while attending C-STOP.

Any coursework, a chromebook, or necessary textbooks should be brought with the student when he or she is assigned to C-STOP.  Students will have the opportunity to communicate with teachers from their home school throughout the day via email.

In order to attend the C-STOP program, all necessary paper work must be completed and turned upon your arrival date.  If you have any questions about the program, please feel free to email me or call Davidson River School at 828-884-9567.

I was born and raised in Sapphire, North Carolina.  I am a proud product of the Transylvania County School System.  I recieved my undergraduate degree from Western Carolina University.  I am currently working on my Master's Degree in General Special Education from WCU.

Before coming to Davidson River School, I spent 17 years working at Brevard Middle School in the Exceptional Children's Program.  I am excited to begin my third year as C-STOP Coordinator for TCS, which is housed on the beautiful campus of Davidson River School .
