    Get Ready for Computer Science Education Week

    The Hour of Code is an opportunity for every student to try computer science for one hour. You can also teach the Hour of Code all year-round. Tutorials work on browsers, tablets, smartphones, or "unplugged." There are multiple websites and resources teachers can use to participate in the Hour of Code. Be sure to check out all the resources below.

    The following are some great resources and links to coding websites that students in TCS classrooms will be using:

    In fact, students in 57,000 classrooms around the world will learn their first Hour of Code, jumping into a field that can change the rest of their lives!

    1. Register today for Hour of Code. This is where classes will be starting, and any user in the world can still use these wonderful resources ... it's not just for kids!

    Here’s what teachers and students will be doing from December 5-11, 2016 to make their #HourOfCode a success:


    1) Access tutorials

    Every Hour of Code tutorial is now ready at the code.org website.

     

    2) Learn to use friendly urls

    When they're ready to start the Hour of Code, teachers will share easy, “friendly url” addresses on the board. Each tutorial has a short link. Any user can type it into their browsers to get started.
