Transylvania County Schools provides a process for licensed employees to receive support in defraying the costs associated with tuition expenses for obtaining advanced degrees or certifications. The policy file itself as well as the tuition reimbursement request form are both linked below. Funds from the district's Title II-Part A "Improving Teacher Quality" grant are used to provide nearly $30,000 per year to support this program that values and supports the professional growth of our employees.
2016-2017 Due Dates
Spring Semester 2017: Turn in by May 25, 2017
Summer Courses (taken during May-August): Turn in by September 8, 2017
Fall Semester 2017: Turn in by January 19, 2018Tuition Reimbursement Request Form (return form with grade report and itemized receipt to Kelly Clark at MEC by due date)
