Flyers Now Delivered Online Through Peachjar
Paper flyers which were formerly sent home will now be available electronically through our partnership with Peachjar.
These eflyers can be viewed in your inbox, on our smartphone apps, and on our websites by clicking on the Peachjar button on each school’s website homepage. This “green” initiative will save tons of paper and reduce copy costs by thousands of dollars. The new paperless flyering process rids backpacks of paper clutter, removes a significant administrative burden from teachers, office staff, and volunteers, and puts useful information at your fingertips every day.
Please note that paper copies of school materials may still be made available, since not everyone has access to email or the internet. Through this new communication tool, you will have access school information quickly and easily wherever you can access the internet, from your smartphone to access points such as free WiFi in downtown Brevard and public computers at the Transylvania County Library.
No action is required by parents. Email addresses added to our database will receive a welcome email from the service provider (Peachjar) with a username and password. You have complete freedom to manage your account and flyer delivery preferences. You do not need to login to receive or view eflyers. To ensure smooth delivery of this communication, we suggest you add “firstname.lastname@example.org” to your allowed email contacts. When you receive your first eflyer, we suggest you click “always display images.”
This system is used exclusively for distribution of school-approved flyers. Your email address will not be shared or used for any other purpose. Please note that non-school materials are provided as a community service and are for information purposes only. Non-school materials are neither endorsed nor sponsored by Transylvania County Schools. The district does not distribute flyers directly to students.
Once uploaded by outside providers, flyers will be automatically submitted to the district office. District staff will review the material and approve or deny on a school-by-school based on the standards below. Peachjar charges a fee to enrichment providers for this service that is typically much less than the cost to copy and deliver paper flyers to each school.
No commercial publications will be posted or distributed unless their purpose is to further a school activity, such as graduation, class pictures or class rings or to offer a pre-approved enrichment opportunity to our students.
We are working with Peachjar on this new system, and you can start your own access at any time. Just go to the front page of your school website and click on the blue Peachjar button to check it out. Parents can also provide an email address for flyers to be delivered directly to their inbox.
Schools will continue providing important information, including parent letters and more, in paper form. These important notices will also be posted in the “electronic backpack,” so families can go back and find any notices that may have been misplaced by visiting Peachjar, using our smartphone apps, or through any Transylvania County Schools website.
Why am I not receiving flyers to my inbox through Peachjar?
First, check with your school front office to make sure your email address is current in PowerSchool. If your email is current, Peachjar emails may be getting caught in spam filters on your email account. Placing @peachjar.com on your "trusted address" list may resolve this problem.
How can I register to receive Peachjar emails for a school?
Parents and community members are welcome to enroll for updates via Peachjar for any of our schools. Simply open peachjar.com, and create or update your account as needed. Click “Notification Preferences” under the “My Account” menu. Search by state and school district, and add whichever schools where you would like to receive flyers.
You may also choose how often you wish to receive updates on the same page.
Our district cooperates with community groups and organizations that sponsor activities of an educational/enrichment nature for students by distributing materials electronically via Peachjar. As part of our efforts to be more environmentally friendly, embrace innovative technology, and maintain fiscal responsibility, we are transitioning from paper to electronic flyer delivery.
To request flyer approval, follow the steps below. Once approved, your flyer will be emailed to parents and posted online. Paper flyers from outside organizations will no longer be sent home directly with students, but may be placed for pickup at individual schools in the front office after approval (see below). Parents will have immediate access to your information via their email and the school website. This ensures that all households where as student may reside will receive information. Plus, if a parent deletes the email, active flyers remain visible 24/7 through the Peachjar website, linked to through our school websites.

- Upload your flyer for approval.

There is a sliding scale that adjusts to the number of flyers and the number of schools each provider chooses to send.
If the flyer is approved, it will be posted in the appropriate schools’ online “electronic backpack.” Posting to the electronic backpack is FREE for school office staff and parent groups, including booster clubs, parent-teacher organizations, etc. Community groups pay a small service fee, which is significantly less than the cost of color printing. It’s also a bonus for community groups, because flyers stay in the electronic backpack for the length of your order with Peachjar, so families can go back to check information without worrying about losing another piece of paper.
Materials from agencies, businesses, nonprofits, organizations, partners or groups that are not part of Transylvania County Schools may be approved for electronic distribution only or placement at the schools’ front office, and may include a fee for distribution. SPECIAL NOTE FOR FREE EVENTS:
Your free event may qualify for posting at no charge upon pre-approval. Check this document for requirements, policies, and procedures for posting your free event.
NOTE: Any events, activities or programs that include a charge to students or families should not request that information come back into schools. Contact the Community Relations Office at (828) 885-7379 or email@example.com for details.
The following groups will be considered for display/distribution:
1. Transylvania County Schools' own internal flyers: School calendars, menus, newsletters, parent letters, district information. Includes info about TCS activities and/or events (sports teams, clubs, field trips, school plays and concerts).
2. County, state or federal government agencies.
3. Parent-teacher associations/organizations: organizations formed to support the school in an area of recognized need, such as the OPT, PTO, or ROPE, teachers’ and principals’ organizations and booster clubs.
4. TCS partners (business, faith groups or community organizations that work collaboratively with the district to support students and schools). Partners must work with the school principal, superintendent, or Community Relations Office to develop goals and measures for the relationship. Students or staff at the target school(s), departments or regions must directly benefit from the partnership. Open and ongoing communication must exist between the partner, and the principal, superintendent, and/or the Community Relations Office.*
5. Entities offering educational, recreational, cultural or character-development activities to school-aged children.*
6. Institutes of higher education.*

All flyers, any other conditions notwithstanding, must be approved by the Superintendent before they will be posted.
The following information must appear on any flyer distributed.
- The sponsoring organization’s full name,
- The sponsoring organization’s address,
- The sponsoring organization’s email address,
- The sponsoring organization’s telephone number,
- The sponsoring organization’s web address, and
- The sponsoring organization’s non-profit 501(c)3 status, governmental, or educational nonprofit institution status, etc.
