Dr. Fletcher has over 20 years of education experience with Cherokee County Schools. After working as an Assistant Finance Officer for Cherokee County, Dr. Fletcher began her career in education as a Business Education teacher at Murphy High School in Murphy, North Carolina. She later served as the school’s Assistant Principal for seven years. Dr. Fletcher has also served as the school district’s Career and Technical Education Coordinator, and in 2015, was named Principal at Andrews High School in Andrews, North Carolina.

Most recently, Dr. Fletcher has worked as the Director of High School Curriculum in Cherokee County Schools, while also serving as the Principal at Murphy High School in Murphy, North Carolina, since 2021.

Dr. Fletcher earned her Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Montreat College. She holds a Master's in Education and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Western Carolina University. Dr. Fletcher is also a member of the North Carolina Association of School Administrators (NCASA).

A native of Western North Carolina, Dr. Fletcher grew up in the Culberson area and attended Cherokee County Schools. Growing up in a military family, she lived and attended schools in Fort Riley, Kansas, and Neu Ulm Germany, before returning to North Carolina to graduate from Hiwassee Dam High School.
