At the Board of Education meeting on April 19, 2021, Superintendent Dr. Jeff McDaris announced the graduation schedule for all three high schools in Transylvania County Schools.
Thanks are due to our community partners at Brevard Music Center for extending their facilities to be used for the Class of 2021 graduation ceremonies.
NOTE: Some of these details have since been revised (effective Tuesday, May 18, 2021) due to changes reflected in Governor Roy Cooper's
Executive Order 2015 issued on May 14, 2021.
UPDATE ON MASKS (May 20, 2021):
As a result of Governor Cooper’s most recent Executive Order, and guidance from State Superintendent Catherine Truitt, high school graduations held at sites not part of a school campus may have full capacity with no masks and no social distancing. This applies to both participants and guests. Therefore, masks will not be required at our graduation ceremonies at the Brevard Music Center. It should be noted, however, the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) still recommends masks for all unvaccinated individuals attending large, crowded events and continues to encourage social distancing in these settings.
All ceremonies will be live streamed online on the TCS YouTube Channel (youtube.com/tcsnc).

ACTUALIZACIÓN DE MÁSCARAS (20 de mayo de 2021): Como resultado de la Orden Ejecutiva más reciente del Gobernador Cooper y la guía de la Superintendente Estatal Catherine Truitt, las graduaciones de la escuela secundaria realizadas en sitios que no forman parte de un campus escolar pueden tener plena capacidad sin máscaras y sin distanciamiento social. Esto se aplica tanto a los participantes como a los invitados. Por lo tanto, no se requerirán máscaras en nuestras ceremonias de graduación en el Brevard Music Center.
