FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS TO STUDENT SERVICES:

A: General Information: 828-885-7328

Q: What are your regular office hours?

A: Student Services is open Monday through Friday from 7:30am until 3:30pm when school is in session. Additional hours are available if you need an appointment at a time other than our regular hours.

Q: What are your summer office hours?

A: The Student Services office will be staffed by the Registrar during the summer months on Monday and Tuesday from 7:00am-5:00pm only to enroll new students and for transcript requests.

Q: What is the CEEB code for Brevard High School?

A: The CEEB code is 340445. The CEEB code is required on admission forms by colleges and universities. Also, SAT and ACT require this code when you register to take their tests.

Q: How do I know which counselor is mine?

A: You will have an assigned counselor when you enter the high school. This counselor will follow you through all four years of high school. Mrs. Moore is the counselor for students with the last name A-L. Mrs. Owen is the counselor for students with the last names M-Z. These counselor assignments will not change.

Q: Why do I have to see a specific counselor?

A: We find that it's very helpful when both a student and their counselor have a long lasting relationship. Your counselor can better advise you when you are selecting courses to take at the high school, prepare career avenues for you to consider, suggest post-secondary options for you to explore, and write effective recommendations for you when they have consistently worked during the four years.

Q: Do I need to make an appointment to see my counselor?

A: No, but when you do make an appointment you are guaranteed to see your counselor at a specific time. We highly encourage parents and students to email us anytime to schedule an appointment!

Q: When will next year's schedule be available?

A: Schedules will be made available during the Back to School Bash in August. We will announce the date and details of this event in advance.

Q: How do I change my schedule?

A: If you wish to change, add or drop a class at that time, you must complete a "Schedule Adjustment Request Form" that is available in the Student Services Office. You must have a parent signature on this form, and return it to the student support office as soon as possible. Adjustments will only be made within the first 5 days of the semester, and only if there is availability in the course desired and it meets your graduation requirements.

Q: How do I send an official transcript?

A: Please fill out the "Transcript Request Form" in the Student Services Office. Download the form here. If you are under 18 years old we must have a parent signature on it. Submit the completed form to Mrs. Siniard in the Student Services Office. The first transcript is free for high school students, and any transcript needed for a scholarship application is free. After that the cost is $2.00 per transcript.
If you have already graduated from Brevard High School the cost for a copy of your transcript is $10.00. You can either stop by Student Services to request a copy of your transcript, write a letter to the Brevard High School Student Services: 609 N. County Club Rd. Brevard, NC 28712, fax a letter to 828-884-9829, or e-mail debsiniard@tcsnc.org requesting a copy of your transcript.

1. Your full name when you graduated Brevard High School
2. Your date of birth
3. The year you graduated
4. An address where you want us to send your transcript
5. $10.00 (cash or check)
