Transylvania County Schools strives to provide students a hearty and nutritious breakfast to kick off each school day. We are excited to announce that National School breakfast week is March 6th through March 10th and would like to inform you about the great things that Transylvania County Schools Universal Free Breakfast Program offers to students. This program allows every student at TCS to receive a breakfast meal at no cost. We believe that a well-rounded breakfast contributes to academic success and life-long healthy eating habits. Some ways TCS works to provide breakfast include Breakfast in the Classroom at all Elementary Schools, Hot Breakfast on the serving line at Brevard Middle, Rosman Middle, and Rosman High, as well as the Blue Devils Breakfast Cart at Brevard High. Not only do we work to ensure students have access to breakfast through a variety of means, but we also ensure our breakfast is packed with quality nutrients. Some of our popular hot breakfast items include cinnamon rolls, chicken biscuits, maple pancakes, and so much more! All meals offered meet state and federal requirements based on USDA Dietary Guidelines for Americans. We also offer a special option for high school students daily called MooBrew. Our MooBrew option for high schooler students includes iced coffee, which we brew to perfection each day with a choice of added flavor and cream. Our commitment is to ensure your child receives an appealing, high-quality, and nutritious breakfast daily.
