The students of Brevard Middle School will be representing Transylvania County Public schools as they earned positions in the 2022 Western District Bands. They submitted their audition video in January, which consisted of a required solo and scales/rudiments. Band Directors, College Professors, and professional musicians from across Western Carolina judged their videos. They then placed the top-scoring students into either the Symphonic “top” Band or the Concert Band. They will travel to Western Carolina University on February 25th & 26th to rehearse and present a concert to the public on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at 3:30 pm in the Bardo Auditorium at Western Carolina University.
