Transylvania County Schools Graduation 2020

The Class of 2020 has experienced a senior year like no other. With overwhelming participation, Transylvania County Schools seniors came out to celebrate "Virtual Graduations" with their fellow classmates and put a cap on this school year—literally.

We have received a number of inquiries in recent days and weeks about our ongoing celebration of the Class of 2020. The following is a statement from Dr. Jeff McDaris:

With the news that North Carolina will remain in Phase 2 “Safer At Home” through August 7 combined with the recent surge in COVID-positive cases in our county, Transylvania County Schools will be unable to hold in-person graduation ceremonies as hoped for.

Although graduation ceremonies this year were adversely affected by the Pandemic, we invite everyone to visit tcsnc.org/graduation to continue our celebration of the Class of 2020.
