The Transylvania County Board of Education voted Monday, January 24, 2022, that face coverings will be required for all students, staff, and visitors in all school buildings during times of student instruction.
Reflecting their concern to keep schools open and minimize mandatory quarantines or school closings, the Board approved a motion to require face coverings in school buildings.
Per NC General Assembly requirements, the Board of Education will continue to have monthly votes on continuing or modifying the current mask policy. The next vote will be at the February 21 meeting.
Any updates will be communicated via SchoolMessenger email and phone calls, social media and our website.
