Thursday, March 26, is Virtual Day number 10 for all students. We hope everyone at home is doing well.
As of today,
Transylvania Public Health has reported a second confirmed case of coronavirus infection in our county. Along with our state and local partners, our school system will continue to monitor the situation in our area for the safety of all our staff, students, and families. Check your
county and public health websites for additional information.
It is important for everyone to do the basics— wash hands often, keep a social distance, cover your cough, and limit movement outside the home. In this way, you and your family can remain healthy and slow the spread of infection.
Blended learning for all students continues through May 15th, except the week of Spring Break. Teachers are making phone calls home, to make sure you and your child have what you need to continue learning at this time. We hope to talk with you soon!
Starting Thursday, March 26, there are now 31 locations to pick up “grab-and-go” children’s meals, including four school sites— Brevard High, Brevard Middle, Rosman Middle, and T.C. Henderson Elementary. These school sites will be serving lunch to go between 10am and 12pm, Monday through Friday.
We also have new bus stops added Monday through Friday in Pisgah Forest, Brevard, Rosman, Little River, Cedar Mountain, See Off, Balsam Grove, Sapphire, and Lake Toxaway.
Free meals are for all children age 18 and under in the community (USDA is an equal opportunity provider). The locations and pickup times are on our
website and the
smartphone app. Just look under “Meals” or “Children’s Meals.”
Remember that Friday is the day to pick up elementary learning packets at your school. There will not be meals at school on Friday, unless your school is a designated lunch site mentioned above.
