    This Month:    We are in the home stretch! Last full month of learning and fun!

     

    Multiplication Facts:  10 minutes nightly study. Get those multiplication facts down before the EOG!

     

    Parent/Child Conversation (Ask/talk to your child about these things we are doing this month):

    • Do you feel ready for testing? Please talk to your student about doing their best, but not panicking.
    • Have you learned all your math facts? How can I help you learn them?
    • When completing homework: Can you use complete sentences and refer to what was stated in the text that supports your answer? How does the text give evidence that can help you explain your thinking?

    This Month:   Another full month of learning and fun!

     

    Multiplication Facts: We have begun our multiplication unit! Multiplication facts are such an important foundational skill in current and future math performance! The importance of fact mastery cannot be stressed enough! Ms. Leland is asking your student to spend 10 minutes every night (Monday-Thursday) studying multiplication facts until mastery. Please help your student master these facts and promote their further success! Thanks for all you do!

    We had a great first week! It has been fun getting to know your students. We practiced classroom and schoolwide routines, classroom expectations, transitions, switching classes, and math stations!
