On Monday, students across Transylvania County Schools began the 2025-2026 academic year.
Teachers and staff at all nine schools gathered early to welcome both familiar faces and new students to their school family. The beginning of the school year marks a fresh start filled with new possibilities and renewed energy.
"I always love the first day of school! Today, every child walked in with a smile and a spring in their step. Teachers and principals were beaming from ear to ear. When you see that kind of joy, you know it’s going to be a wonderful day—and an amazing year ahead," Dr. Lisa Fletcher, Superintendent, said on Monday.
