Students from Brevard High School and Rosman High School FFA chapters made their mark at the 2025 NC Mountain State Fair, which concluded Sunday after running September 5-14 in Fletcher.

Partnership and Education

The two chapters teamed up to operate the popular "Moo-ternity Ward," where students cared for pregnant heifers and educated fairgoers about agriculture. Under the guidance of Transylvania County Schools' dedicated agriculture teachers, students answered visitors' questions while gaining hands-on experience.

"This is a great opportunity for students to learn about animals and to help others learn as well," Brevard FFA officer Kayson Toole told The Broadcaster, BHS' student journalism publication.
