MCJROTC was busy last week! Here is an update on what the cadets were doing and how you can help support them.
HONORING OUR VETERANS
The cadets supported local veterans through ceremonies and service. Veterans Day ceremonies were held at both Rosman and Brevard High Schools, where they recognized local veterans for their service to our country.
VETERANS HEALING FARM
On Friday, cadets volunteered at the Veterans Healing Farm, working to improve the grounds and spending time with the team there. The facility provides equine therapy, K9 service dog training, gardening programs, beekeeping and honey production, pottery classes, art classes, and other community events.
"The farm staff appreciated how well our cadets worked together, noting their positive attitude and teamwork. I am truly honored to work with this group of young men and women as we continue to support our local community." - Lance Oufnac, SgtMaj Retired
DRONE TRAINING
The 8th grade cadets continued their drone education this week. High School drone club members created a competition to help the younger cadets develop their flying skills and prepare for high school-level drone club activities.
COLOR GUARD
The MCJROTC Color Guard performed at the Brevard High football game on Friday.
