In second grade, North Carolina’s science curriculum emphasizes a thorough understanding of animal life cycles. To help further this understanding, Transylvania County 4-H partnered with Mrs. Reader's class at Pisgah Forest Elementary School to conduct hands-on learning as students observe the development and lifecycle of real chicken eggs. This week, they had their first "candling" to discover what is happening inside the eggs at this incubation stage!
