The Brevard Middle and High School bands held a joint concert at the Brevard College Porter Center where they performed pieces they have been working on this semester. It was a festive evening listening to holiday tunes! Poinsettias along the front were compliments of the BHS FFA. #TCSTogether










Christmas Cheer came to the Morris Education Center when BES carolers made a stop last week! #TCSYes
Pisgah Forest Elementary hosted "Reindeer teacher Games" and students sang Christmas carols, plus they had a Grinch / Rocky the Racoon dance off last Friday at their Christmas Assembly. #TCSYes
Brevard Middle School Chorus visited Rosman Elementary this week; along with other destinations, to perform for the students. The RES students sang along to some of their favorites! #TCSTogether






TCS principals and district admin had a great time playing games following their December meeting! #TCSTogether
TCS middle school principals, Jessica McCall and Julie Queen, recently traveled to middle schools in Yancey, Mitchell and Avery counties to deliver snacks and gift cards to their staff. The gesture was sponsored by TCS staff and community members to support these neighboring middle school teachers as they returned to school. Middle Schools loving on middle schools! Brevard Elementary School students held a Winter Performance for the school. They sang, danced, played instruments and even told a few jokes! #TCSYes







TCS students from Rosman High school participated in the Honor Band at UNCW. They were selected to attend a band festival at UNCW and play in a concert there. The students selected were Camden Stamey, Ayden Gibson and Kadin Chaga; along with band director Tiffany Hurley. #TCSYes




Davidson River School held a Breakfast with Santa in conjunction with Pisgah Forest Elementary and their Holiday Market sponsored by ROPE. Many smiles and a few special guests! #TCSTogether

Congratulations to BHS band director, Andrew Jimeson, for his feature in the SBO edition of the 50 Music Teachers that Make a Difference! Come and see Mr. Jimeson and the Brevard Middle and High School Bands as they present their annual Winter Concert on Tuesday, December 17th beginning at 6:30 PM at the Porter Center on the Campus of Brevard College. Admission is $5 for adults. This is the first year we will receive donations for our newly established "Dr. Palmer Band Scholarship." Donations can be given in person at the concert or made to the Brevard Band Association by mailing a gift to Brevard High School ATTN: Brevard Band Association. Checks would need to be made out to the Brevard Band Association. #TCSTogether


TCS Kat Bailey has spent the week presenting at NCDPI's AI Summit for Educators. The goal of the summit is to help guide the responsible adoption and implementation of generative AI in our public schools. She has presented a workshop entitled Teaching in the AI Age: From 0 to Infinity. She is leading our EdTech team to become the go to professionals as we move forward into the age of AI. #TCSTogether
