TCS track teams traveled to Greensboro for State Track meets over the weekend. RHS senior Makynna McDonald came in third place in the 1A girls state championship long jump, with an impressive 17’ 3” jump. The BHS girls 4x800 relay team came in 8th place in the 2A state meet. Maddie Galloway placed 5th in the 800m and Samora Griffin placed 8th in shot put. BHS boys team finished with their best ever finish as runner up for the NCHSAA 2A team title! They had the following stats:
4x800, 3rd overall with a new school record
4x100, 2nd overall
4x400, 2nd overall with a new school record
Braylon Thompson placed 7th in the 100m and 200m dash
Eli Griffin placed 4th in the 100m dash
Avan Hinkle placed 3rd in the 1600 and 3200m
Keaton Campbell placed 4th in the 1600 and 3200m
Leo Murray placed 2nd in the 800m
Ezra Stubbs placed 5th in the 800m
The following were recognized as all state athletes: Sebastian Duncan, Silvan Guidry, Leo Murray, Ezra Stubbs, Avan Hinkle, Keaton Campbell and Braylon Thompson. Leo Murray also received the 2025 2A NC Farm Bureau Sportsmanship Award. Congratulations to all!! #TCSYes

The Board of Education hosted the TC Scholar Banquet yesterday evening to celebrate the highest achievement recognized by TCS. These students are on track to graduate or will graduate as TC Scholars, with a GPA of 3.5 unweighted and 3.8 weighted! Many of the seniors also received scholarships to further their educational journey.
